Can we go back to playing hide the Jungy? I don't want to eat that. Is it seaweed?

Each item of food in tonight's meal begins with the last letter of the previous food item.
Let's start with some soup (so the next food must start with 'p')

It was Konnyaku.
It was actually a really good episode. It was for the title and the initial main dish was Pork and it was intense and then when it ended up being tied and it was like "The tiebreaker ingredient is....... KONNYAKU!" and I had absolutely zero idea what this weird... gelatinous brick was meant to be. Apparently it's some sort of flavor sponge? so you put it in soups/stews and it can substitute as a meat. Sort of like Tofu? idk either way it was hilarious not knowing what it was. It's also a vegan subtitute for gelatin.
Also:
Edamame.
