Have you ever watched 'The Genius' before?
No and I thought I wouldn't have to but after I read the rules I'm starting to doubt that was a good idea. I'll probably start soon so I can have at least a number of episodes under my belt before the first match starts. How do you think you will approach the games? I have no idea. I was hoping that my puzzle solving ability and general competitiveness will be enough but I'm starting to doubt all this. The board doesn't yet offer too much info so I'm gonna have to dig for info my way. What kinds of people are you looking to work with? I'm not even sure what working with people means in this format. Geez, I'm like that idiot type of player who never watched Survivor yet comes on the show and is allowed to go on until F7 or F8, am I not? I have a very logical kind of thinking and I tend to get well with people who are similar to myself. But before I realise what working with people means in this game, I'm not sure what I'm really looking for. I guess, I'll have to play UTR at least one round untill I get the general idea. I remember my first Mafia game when I had no idea how to approach it and I ended up being considered shady since round one because I was joke posting. What are your thoughts on the more open format of this game? I think I've read it somewhere that this could go on being open ID. I guess I'll have to see but I kinda agree I'd like to know the fuckers I'm playing against.

To clarify: 1. You don't need to have seen the show, think of each round being its own on-site ORG. Mafia, The Resistence, or other types of board games. If you want an example watch this episode of the show: www.youtube.com/watch?v=rxFJiejN8MM&index=4&list=PL9suu7e7YWZ0rw06g9_cOi_cnzpeXeUCcShould give you a good idea of what types of games to expect. They're purely social/strategic. Skip to 7 minutes to go straight to the game explanation 2. By kinds of people I just meant what types of personalities. Would you be eager to work with super strategists or try to corral more low-key players or whatever. You answered it perfectly 3. It's not open ID, at any stage.

I watched that episode. It's an interesting show, though the koreans tend to over dramatize it and make it kinda childish. Not sure if I'm gonna watch more episodes since I get it now how strategy is rather different from one round to another so it might not matter. By open ID in the future, I meant in future seasons, obviously I don't expect us to have a reveal in the middle of this game

The dramatization and the kiddy attitude the editing has actually endears it to me. I think part of why I like the show is that while they are cutthroat, they're never malicious or mean to each other. It's really always respectful and they all understand that it's just a game.
