All you'd need to see was the games I helped Ahyoung practice with before her DM with Sunggyu to see that this is like a different language to me.

That seems so bizarre to me. You were playing brilliantly, and you had cornered her. She was all but defeated and you had the game won dead to rights for like... 15 moves at the end there and you just needed to continue what you were doing... and then you just let her take down your back row one by one by one. Any defensive measure would've been enough Not gonna lie i'm a little upset here. But if your brain just doesn't work it then I guess there's no arguing that. Best of luck in the final! I don't think moves on my back row would've done anything though? Delayed things for a move or two? I thought my laser would kill my own pieces at some stages too. I wasn't even aware I was playing well. She set up a defence that I couldn't penetrate in my eyes. I wish I could see the winning move, but I just couldn't. I'm more than a little upset.

If anyone is questioning my desire to win this, then they are severely wrong. I'll be bringing it in game 3!

If you had rotated the square knight to face her laser it would've completely shut out her defense, buying you enough turns to finally get her. You were slowly and surely chipping away at her defense the whole time! It was awesome! It was like a metaphor for the whole game where you started off not really knowing what to do and then you learn quick and dominate. Anyway, past in the past. I was mostly just annoyed that this wasn't finishing because for like 20 minutes I was like "oh my god it's finally over" and now there's another event

I thought if I rotated the square knight then my splitter would've killed it? Arghhhh. what's a few more days anyway? More time to work on those recaps I'm slowly getting over the disappointment of not ending it tonight. Probably better for me game 3 wasn't tonight since I could've gone on tilt. Excited to see this new game play out on here.

The splitter works like a triangle, but also goes through it, so your laser would've only gone down and left and you would've slowly been able to corner her king (while also making sure her laser plans don't change too drastically) The laser only would've hit your square from the splitter is if her laser fired into it from the bottom of the board, which would've taken several turns of her moving her tri 4 and by then you could just burn a turn making your square face left again. The laser just turns 90 degrees every time it hits a mirror (except square mirrors which just send it back) It's so weird that you didn't actually know how well you were doing that's funny in its own way. I feel for you I really do.
