Have you ever watched 'The Genius' before?
Yes <3 Every second of it. Season 1 will always be the best in my mind, but season 4 was also epic. Tbh they all were <3
How do you think you will approach the games?
The cool thing about this format compared to Survivor is that it hasn't really been 'solved' yet. After 32 seasons of Survivor, most strategic approaches have been explored and ORG gaming becomes a bit about playing moves at the right move based on what you've picked up from watching the show. With the Genius, only 4 seasons have aired, and there is still a lot about the Genius strategy which is unclear, especially as many of the real life Genius players seem less bloodthirsty and backstabby as Survivor players or ORGers. This is exciting as it's entirely possible that we'll find an all new way to approach the strategy of this game that hasn't been explored on the show yet.
Anyway, the way I see it the strategy of this game is INSANELY different to Survivor. For me, a lot of my strategical approach to a Survivor game is making myself look weaker than I am. I play down the relationships i'm building with other people, and let others feel like i'm following them until a crucial moment. In the Genius however, it is crucial not to seem weak. The one spot you do not want to end up in is being the person who is PICKED for the death match. If you lose a main match and end up in the death match, at least you have the luxury of picking a player you think you can beat. If you are picked, you do not have that luxury and you have been picked because the other player is confident they can beat you. Therefore, looking weak is NOT the right idea. I plan on making it clear that I am competent, perhaps even more than I am (tbh, hardcore strategic games are not my forte, I much prefer the psychological ones) so hopefully I will never be marked as an easy beat and picked for the death match.
What kinds of people are you looking to work with?
Tbh I'm going to try to work with everyone. The best approach is always to stay in everyone's good books and make them feel like you're on their side. But I would really like to find at least on Hyunmin, someone who I can 100% share everything with. Tbh, I'd like a number of people thinking that I'm their sunbae.
What are your thoughts on the more open format of this game? Good point, perhaps I shouldn't have been so open in this confessional :/

What are your thoughts on the more open format of this game?Good point, perhaps I shouldn't have been so open in this confessional :/ Nonsense. It's going to be mostly based on actual events and facts "x happened at Y time" etc and very few confessional excerpts, like the show. Please do not hesitate to divulge

Getting excited for tonight! My plan for this round will probably be to play it safe. I'm hoping the game will have the sort of set up where you can either take the easy 'not-last' route or the all or nothing gamble. Given the number of players still in the game I think playing it safe and letting someone else look like an idiot will be the safest move, at least while I get the pulse of the game. That being said, if it's a game that I understand quickly... It may be very tempting to try to snag a win.

Are there any particular games or death matches from the show that you would be especially pleased to see?
