Discuss here. He cannot see and the thread will be moved upon a decision. Ahyoung , Dongmin , Eunji , Hyunmin , Jinho , Junghyun , Kyunghoon , Kyungran , Sunggyu , Yoonsun , Yuram Now, regarding the Death Match we are in a weird situation. Through the Main Match Hongchul is rightfully the elimination candidate and should get to choose his opponent. However, the rules state that failure to show for a scheduled event will result in direct elimination. Rules: - Events are scheduled to work with all involved players and events can easily be rescheduled with proper notification. If you do not show up to a planned event, you will be eliminated.
However I misspoke in the Schedule thread regarding this: If you fail to show up, you will get put in the death match (and I will be very disappointed because these games are for fun and I would like them all to be played), unless everyone suddenly shows up and says they're ok with Monday or later on sunday but you should've made point of this ahead of time. Don't list a time if you're not actually available for it. On top of this, it would also be unfair for Hongchul to select his death match opponent due to not talking with you all during this match and really having nothing to base it on in-game. Additionally, it would be unfair to put Junghyun in the match for coming last, when the match was specifically stated to be for Garnets only. So, here is the situation. Per the rules, Hongchul should be eliminated. However, if you all deem it fair for him to continue and to choose his opponent, I will allow a 12 hour period with which to talk to him (AND ONLY HIM) and you can all speak your piece and version of events for the last round and make your case.

The schedule thread for this round was a complete mess. I am ok with giving him a chance to pick his oponent for a deathmatch even if I may be the one to suffer from this call.

We were under the impression that vulnerability would not be an option for anyone if Hongchul did not attend. And as an immunity winner, I am happy for that immunity to be wasted if those of you at risk of being chosen should wish to take that course. I am of the opinion that the situation is unchanged personally, for myself and Kyungran so I will agree with what the rest of you feel.

I think as you are the host the decision is ultimately yours. You wrote the rules and we signed-up to play based on them. So you have to enforce them as you intended them to be and use the precedent moving forward. Speaking for myself the 12 hour thing is kinda pointless. Like there are several of us who wouldn't have ever spoken with him as we didn't share fruits last game. "Hey I'm Yoonsun, I exist and am fabulous, don't pick me plz & ty" is about the most I could really say?

Im happy for him to choose someone to go into a death match with him. He probably should have spoke up at the time but coming into this game we were all under the impression it would be evening events and it was a bit of a shambles picking a start time and wouldnt be great to see someone go out that way

I will say I am leaning towards elimination, but considering that I misinformed him when directly asked I thought I would at least gauge the reaction from himself and you all. Truthfully if it is not unanimous to allow him to play, the rules will be enforced as written.

He had plenty of opportunities to say "I cannot do mornings" and if something came up last minute that was unavoidable then he should've said something but just last minute saying "I likely won't show up" and then, not even logging in once over the entire 4 hours? To me, that's a bit of a slap in the face.

i think it is reasonable to give him a chance to win his way back in as missing an event this early was always going to happen with someone given the time zones involved in this game.
however i do not feel it would be wrong to follow the rules as they were set out from the beginning.

He gave his times that he would be available to play and they were all evening, then said he would be good for 2/3pm on Sunday. Then his next post was saying he much preferred when Monday was the option

All times AEDT Monday anytime after 23:00 Tuesday anytime Wednesday anytime after 23:00 Thursday anytime before 20:00 Friday anytime before 20:00 Saturday anytime before 21:00 Sunday anytime before 21:00 He never adjusted on this, simply stated preferences. And I did clarify that if you have hard deadlines, say so.

Sunday anytime before 21:00 would include mornings if not stated otherwise. This is difficult Hyung.

When Sunday came up he said and his next post was saying he preferred Mondays before Sunday morning was locked in, and then replying he probably wouldnt be able to make that I agree he could have been more forceful with saying it wouldnt work for him the post before it was made official, but i dont think it was that bad with shambles everyone was having deciding and being indecisive

Again, the real kicker for me is that he didn't show up at all, and it's well beyond 2 now.
It was made clear that if you CANNOT do X time, say so plainly and the schedule will adjust. I do see your point in that maybe he hadn't considered mornings as an option prior to that but he stated "any time" and mornings were always an option, just a heavily discouraged one. He never said "I cannot do before 2pm" and so it is assumed that he could. That was why I said to plainly list your deadlines.
