So we have almost everyone logged in, just waiting on Kyungran (that was me logging in earlier to test the password), Yoonsun and Dongmin. I expect Dongmin to be one of the bigger personalities so hopefully his arrival will spark people. I guess it'll be quiet until the first game though but I do hope that these people really give it their all.
A reminder of who's who and my thoughts:
Ahyoung - Holly
Ahyoung is one of the most excited players for this game, an early sign-up and really happy with her character selection. I always find that helps if players are passionate. She's one of the more knowledgeable contestants along with Dongmin, Eunji and Kyungran who are the only contestants who have finished all 4 seasons of the show. I'm excited to see what she does and where she takes the character.
Dongmin - Bill
As I said before I expect him to be a bigger personality, which is why I gave him the Dongmin alias and I think he can pull it off. I'm hoping he's just as excitable and enthusiastic and dedicated as the real Dongmin. I think he could be a big contender here.
Eunji - Alexis
Another one who knows the games well, I can see Eunji being a little more understated though and potentially playing into her ditzy character to deflect her knowledge. Eunji I can see being very cool and calm in the games but putting up a big front. I think she'll be more one for the mind-games than the actual games and I have a feeling she'll perform better in Death Matches than most.
Hongchul - Katie
A total mixed bag with Hongchul. Usually very witty and smart, can be very cutting and when on point Hongchul could completely dominate certain games with the right people wanting to work with him. I think the biggest thing will be if he can balance between moving fast when the games start but not moving too fast so as to push people away.
Hyunmin - Parvati
Definitely a big threat, and not knowing the games will probably work in his favor. He can sit back and watch and learn and play people off each other and then assert himself mid-way once he's mastered the format. My winner pick.
Jinho - Tom
A dark horse here, may have some issues with the time-zone and I can see him trying too hard to play a normal Survivor ORG when that style of play won't work here. If he can adapt he could probably do really well because he's wicked smart and I think, like the real Jinho, he'll be a master of working out how best to play each game for him, but getting people to go along with his plans will be the big question.
Junghyun - Sarita
I'm so excited to have Junghyun as a part of this cast. I think he'll offer much needed levity in what could work out to be a very cutthroat game, and I think he'll be able to avoid any semblance of a threatening presence. I also think he'll be much better at the games than people will give him credit for.
Kyunghoon - Cassandra
Has seen the first season only along with Sunggyu, and that puts them in an interesting position of having a good idea of what to do but not having all the knowledge that others have. Kyunghoon will be a wild card and I can see him taking early opportunities to put himself in a good position but potentially jumping too far ahead too soon and being taken out. Of course if we get an understated or subservient Kyunghoon then all bets are off and we could see him go very deep.
Kyungran - Andrea
Pretty much the reason that this ORG exists
Very excited to see her in play here and I think will be a very strong contender to go all the way. I can see her fandom getting the best of her though and potentially getting ahead of herself. The big question will be how she adapts to the games she isn't familiar with, and if she gets hit with the wrong death match at the wrong time. If she can avoid those she's in it to win it.
Sangmin - Sarah
I am probably most excited for Sangmin in this game. He's only seen 5 episodes but he will have a completely unique perspective that will allow him some much needed freedom. He trusts his gut and isn't afraid to go for something crazy and I think that in this game with this cast it could work out for him 100%. His intuition will be key, and with the ability to work solo in this game and not have to rely on a group of people to make the moves you need to make I can see him pulling some truly amazing things out in these games when we least suspect them.
Sunggyu - Sandra
Sunggyu will be an interesting one for sure. He can get people on side really easily and I can see a few situations happening where people are playing for him and don't realize it. I don't know if he'll be able to keep it up all the way to end-game but I think he'll be able to ride it a fair ways before anyone catches up.
Yoonsun - Na Onka
Probably the person with the least knowledge of the show except for maybe Jinho. Yoonsun will be another wild-card but an understated one. I expect more of a character driven set of actions from her than strictly logical ones and it could lead to some unexpected happenings, but I also think she'll get more invested the longer she lasts and could be a late bloomer.
Yuram - Dreamz
Yuram will be understated but calculated. I can see her working well with people and being a good person to bounce ideas off of and that will endear people towards her, but as soon as things start to work in her favor I don't know if she'll be able to avoid that target. It's very easy for people to see her as someone they could take out and not really offend anyone or feel like they're betraying anyone.
Overall
I couldn't even begin to make a prediction as to who will come where, but I've got my eye on Sangmin, Hyunmin and Eunji as the people I'm feeling like have the best chance with Jinho, Kyunghoon and Yoonsun maybe less than others but really it's marginal.
